In 1984, the legendary Mark II line-up of Deep Purple was comeback with Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice, who had not played together since 1973. Deep Purple recorded the new studio album Perfect Strangers and then went on tour immediately. This show was filmed in Melbourne, Australia and is the band's only complete concert recording from that era. The setlist combined new songs from Perfect Strangers with early seventies highlights such as Highway Star, Strange Kind Of Woman, Child In Time, Black Night or Speed King and culminated in a brilliant finale with Smoke On The Water.
