Beginning in 1942, the Büssing-NAG Type 4500A replaced the Büssing-NAG Type 500A. The engine bonnet of the Type 4500 rose noticeably in the direction of the driver's cab. It was horizontal on the Type 500. Contrary to the Büssing-NAG Type 4500S, which had 7 louvers, the Büssing-NAG Type 4500A had 5 louvers in the side plates of the engine bonnet.
