Built on a pickup truck chassis, large diameter tires and big engines with massive horsepower were installed by fun-loving American off-roaders to create the monster truck. These ever-popular monster trucks can be seen on specially-made racing circuits or jumping rows of cars in stadiums across the USA. Many R/C monster truck models have been produced over the years. First among equals is the legendary 1/8 scale USA-1 that embodied the might of American trucking power during the 1980’s and 90’s. Officially licensed by Kyosho in the 1990’s, the R/C model uniquely captured the power and glory of the USA-1. Now it’s ‘comeback-time’ for the USA-1, with modern chassis and drivetrain technology, upgrades unique to the USA-1 throughout, and a newly-designed ‘ULTRA SCALE BODY’ with form and detail finished to display-model standards. The iconic American flag graphic emblazoned on the body makes your heart swell with pride! The chassis features shaft-driven 4WD and 5-link suspension based on the Mad Crusher 2.0 & FO-XX models. Most of the suspension components have been uniquely upgraded and reinforced for the USA-1 at each point to handle the powerful new KE25SP2 engine, and the rigors of monster trucking. A 3-speed automatic transmission produces dynamic acceleration, which is enhanced by a true suspension system to produce "scale" running characteristics worthy of the prestigious USA-1, and make you feel like a monster truck driving god. Released as a pre-assembled Readyset, the USA-1 is almost ready for action straight out of the box.

The First National Champion of Monster Truck Racing

In the early seventies, auto makers began to offer four-wheel drive in passenger trucks where it had previously just been available in agriculture and industry. It wasn't long before enterprising performance enthusiasts like Everett Jasmer and a small handful of others started modifying their trucks for increasing levels of performance. This was the genesis of a friendly rivalry that, over time, would motivate an escalation of performance and innovation that eventually led to what we know today as the Monster Truck. Everett Jasmer emerged from this rivalry as one of the God Fathers of Monster Trucks, and the USA-1 as one of the most revered Monster Trucks of all time. It remains one of the inspirations for modern monster trucks and their fans around the globe even to this day.

Ultra-Scale Body, Original Work

Using the famous team USA-1 monster truck as the blueprint, Kyosho immortalizes one of the greatest trucks to inspire the phrase "Monster Truck" with an all-new version of the USA-1 as an Ultra-Scale body. In addition to its stunning details, it also features easy installation of optional LED light sets that help bring an even higher level of USA-1 realism to the RC community.

Featuring the inspirational stars and stripes of the American flag, the livery keeps faith with the true USA-1 machine.

Highly detailed injection-molded parts such as the headlights and the grille, are attached to the polycarbonate body, which is ready for an easy installation of the optional LED lights. The chassis-mounted front bumper recreates the look and feel of the real truck. Many of the body details are original designs from USA-1 4X4, Inc., which are reproduced in great detail by Kyosho based on the famous 1988 monster truck.

Rear Face

Like other unique aspects of the USA-1 styling, the rear end has been accurately recreated with the tail lamps that are also ready for optional LED installations, and like the front end, the injection-molded heavy-duty chrome rear bumper provides an extra level of scale detail that is uniquely vintage "USA-1."

Double-Tube Light Bar And Off-Road Lights

A row of five off-road lights are mounted on the chrome double-tube light bar just as they appear on the actual monster truck. Even the light covers represent those featured on the actual truck.

• Protector for the roll cage prevents damage if the truck overturns.
• Install optional LED sets (97054-4B x 3 and 97054-4CR x 1. One LED is not used), for a total of 15 lights.

Realistic Carburetors

Recreating the look of the 1,200+ horsepower engine, the triple Predator carburetors that mount to the top of the supercharger, are realistically reproduced and attached to the chassis.

Window & Side-View Mirrors

Pre-painted body features clear windows and detachable chrome side mirrors.

New 'Monster' Tires And Wheels

The USA-1 includes accurate reproductions of the 66-inch agriculture tires and white wheels that were featured on the real USA-1 throughout its career. Foam inserts are installed inside the tires to maximize handling on a variety of surfaces.
