USMC F4U-1 Corsair Aircraft Fighter - Forces of Valor FOV-812020A (FV-812020A)
The F4U-1 Corsair was developed for the USN in order to provide the Navy with a single-seat fighter for carriers. The aircraft took to the skies in May of 1940 and served both the Marines and Naval forces during WWII and the Korean War. Improvements over time included a longer fuselage, folding gull wings, and a bubble-top canopy. The fighter was armed with (6) .50 Browning guns and could fly at 400 miles per hour, making this impressive fighter a force to be reckoned with over land and sea.
